Would you like to come aboard our round trip in the amazing Lákho National Park?

Beyond Limits organizes a 3-day round trip in Lákho National Park, a small but very impressive national park.

The mountain area of Glomfjellet has been protected by the Norwegian Government since 2012, and was given the name of Lákho National Park. The park has Norway´s longest contiguous area with alpine karst, which are geological formations in the mountains that are formed through the water´s dissolution of soft limestone marble. Over the years water and weather has formed the marble and created caves, stone bridges, cracks and beautiful patterns and figures in the mountain. If you are interested in geology, this is definitely a trip you should come along for!

We will bring along all necessary equipment and spend some exciting days in the mountains to find the Secrets of Láhko National Park.

Day by day

Day 1

Storglomvassdammen – Corbels Canyon

The first day we will meet up at Storglomsvassdammen at Glomfjellet. This is a 30 minutes drive from the town Glomfjord. After meeting the group and organizing our backpacks we will start the trek into Láhko National Park. Just a few stone throws on our way we will see the beautiful scenery and many variations the park has to offer. We set course for Corbels Canyon which is an area with loads of variations in the karst formations, together with caves, dried river beds and natural stone bridges. The bridge of Corbel is featured in Láhko National Parks logo.

We search the area for a suitable place to set up camp, and spend the day exploring the surroundings.

Day 2 and 3

Rosenvann – Storglomvassdammen

On day 2 we will continue on our round trip in the national park looking for all the secrets it has to offer. The day will be spent enjoying the nature, and the rich vegetation the high mountain area presents us with. We will also pass several great lakes, and if you bring your fishing rod, the trout might bite. When we feel like establishing camp and find a suitable place we will rest up, have dinner and let all the impressions from the day sink in.

The last day we will start the trek back to the parking area at Storglomvassdammen. On our way there we will stop at the great Horns Caves before we stoll out of the park. Happy and satisfied we set course home full of great memories about our adventure in Láhko National Park.
